H.S.G.K Has It's Grading Syllabus Formally Regognised By The
British Martial Arts And Boxing Association

Well done to our students that took their brown and Black belt tests 8th October 2022

After 3hrs and forty minutes of basics, kata, kata applications, sparring (kumite) ippon kumite, yakasoku kumite, kakie, physical endurance, hojo undo
(Okinawan supplimentary training) weights etc. Successful candidates were. S Johnson 3rd kyu, J Dallimore 1st kyu, J Stewart junior 1st dan,
S Killen junior 1st dan, A Sillence junior 1st dan, A Killen 1st dan, H Hooper 1st dan, M Larcombe 2nd dan, P Walbridge 2nd and M Foulkes 2nd dan.
Congratulations to you all it is well deserved. A big thank you to the Independent Examiner Andre Leister 6th dan for giving up his day travelling down from Ash Vale to
oversea the event. Eveyone knows their strong and weak points, so now we have to work on developing the balance of Shin Gi Tai moving forward.
Shin (mind) Gi (technique) Tai ( physical) We must train so our shin gi tai is balanced. For example; There is no need being really fit and strong if you have no technique.
There is no point if you can remember one hundred techniques and then you fall to the floor from a punch because you have no physical strength.
Keep training stay safe.

Congratulations to our four students that took and passed their gradings on this date.
We are all very proud of you. It takes a minimum of about five years to train to a black belt standard in EGKA Goju Ryu karate. You have all been dedicated and have achieved a black belt goal that very few students that start karate accomplish. EGKA chief instructor Ernie Molyneux was very pleased with the high standard of karate from all the students.
