EGKA Junior Black Belt Grading 26th November 2017
Congratulations to our four students that took and passed their gradings on this date.
We are all very proud of you. It takes a minimum of about five years to train to a black belt standard in EGKA Goju Ryu karate. You have all been dedicated and have achieved a black belt goal that very few students that start karate accomplish. EGKA chief instructor Ernie Molyneux was very pleased with the high standard of karate from all the students.

Sensei Alan Awarded 5th Dan I.O.G.K.F.
After 2 days hard training at the EGKA senior instructors training weekend and a grueling grading test Sensei Alan was awarded 5th dan on 7th October 2014.
It was one of the most stressful things I have ever done but a great sense of achievement.

Sensei Steve 6th Dan One Day Course Lancing Sussex
5 students from our senior club attended the course one of the best so far this year.
Sensei Steve always stimulates the class with his teachings and their was much pain with all the wrist and finger locks especially from our brown belt Sam who was chosen by Sensei Steve to demonstrate on all afternoon. (Oh how we laughed as it was Sam's worst nightmare to be chosen) Loads of arm conditioning and footwork training was also included during the course as well as different partner excercises for staminer and strength building.
Everyone had a great time except may be sam (far right) but he's still smiling.
Sensei John Fernandez San Dan IOGKF
Congratulations to Sensei John who passed his 3rd Dan after a two day training course and a gruelling 3 hour exam that included about 20 sparring bouts, kata and applications, basics moving basics, san dan gi, choko-san, chis-chi training, pad work and the traditional 100 press ups, sit ups and squats.
We are all very proud of you.
